The City Manager serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Vassar and reports directly to the City Council. The City Manager is responsible for implementing policy and advising the City Council on all administrative matters such as the financial condition of the City, public safety, economic development, infrastructure, and capital improvement plans.
Boards and Commissions
The City Manager serves as Zoning Administrator, represents the City before the Parks and Recreation Commission, the Planning Commission, and serves as a board member of the Economic Development Corporation and Downtown Development Authority. The manager is the appointing authority for the Treasurer, Assessor, Chief of Police, Fire Chief, Director of Public Works, and the City Clerk.
