The Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission annually reviews the parks and recreation master plan, service delivery plan, capital improvements project's budget and fee schedule as prepared by City staff and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and/or City Council.
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission meets the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm at Vassar City Hall. City Hall is located at 287 E. Huron Avenue.

The City of Vassar has developed an update to its Five-Year Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The plan evaluates existing recreation opportunities, reviews public opinion regarding recreation, establishes recreational goals, and proposes a five-year schedule of improvements and other related items that the City wishes to pursue.
