The City of Vassar has a system of warning sirens to alert
the public to an imminent hazard. The sirens are only intended to warn
people who are outdoors.
Sirens are tested the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m.
Remember:
A WATCH is issued whenever conditions exist for severe weather or a tornado to develop. This gives you time to plan and prepare for the possible storm.
A WARNING is issued when severe weather or a tornado is indicated by radar or a funnel cloud has been sighted. You must act immediately and seek shelter.
Tornado siren warning is a two minute blast
All clear signal is three short blasts.
